GERMAN

German learning begins in Grade 4, with two weekly periods. This instruction focuses on teaching students the basics of the German language, emphasizing oral comprehension, everyday vocabulary, and foundational grammar concepts.

To make the learning process engaging and motivating, a variety of activities are offered, such as listening exercises, dialogues, and collaborative projects. Students are also introduced to cultural elements related to the German language, including the geography of German-speaking countries and aspects of daily life in Germany.

These initial steps allow students to learn German while fostering curiosity and motivation to continue their language journey.

The objectives defined in the program are :

  • Develop the student’s phonological awareness.
  • Trigger oral comprehension and expression processes through an environment that promotes linguistic immersion.
  • Develop written comprehension and expression through consistent and incremental practice.
  • Enrich the vocabulary.
  • Gradually integrate English skills into other subjects.

Similar to Arabic and English, the themes covered are aligned with the teachings of other subjects, allowing students to find meaning in their learning and facilitating connections between disciplines.
