ARABIC

From preschool to Grade 8, students have four weekly periods dedicated to learning the Arabic language, combining linguistic acquisition with cultural awareness. This instruction, tailored to each age group, helps students develop skills in reading, writing, comprehension, and oral expression.

Additionally, occasional activities enrich the learning experience. 'Oriental Breakfast Week' allows students to explore Arabic culinary traditions while practicing the language in a friendly and interactive setting. Furthermore, the celebration of 'International Arabic Language Day' provides a special opportunity to highlight the language and its cultural richness through fun and educational activities.

These initiatives spark students' interest and enhance their progress in learning Arabic.

The objectives defined in the program are :

  • Develop the student’s phonological awareness.
  • Trigger oral comprehension and expression processes through an environment that promotes linguistic immersion.
  • Develop written comprehension and expression through consistent and incremental practice.
  • Enrich the vocabulary.
  • Gradually integrate English skills into other subjects.

The themes covered are aligned with the teachings of other subjects, allowing students to find meaning in their learning and facilitating connections across disciplines.
